Sigmatus is the experimental electronic music project of Venezuelan producer and multi-instrumentalist Sebastian Blanco. Established in 2019, Sigmatus blends chaotic intensity with intricate melodies, drawing influence from IDM, drill and bass, breakcore, and hardcore to craft immersive soundscapes. Inspired by a 2018 Aphex Twin concert in Paris, Blanco sought to create unique and avant-garde music that balances moments of catharsis and tranquility. Utilizing tools ranging from drum machines to no-input feedback, their work pushes the boundaries of electronic music through detailed layering and post-production techniques. Sigmatus has performed at notable events such as A2B2 Night of Fire, opened for Machine Girl at the Trabendo, and regularly collaborates with the Paris-based NoiseC0rp collective, showcasing a distinctive approach that challenges conventions and connects deeply with audiences.
